Upon first meeting Kirk, you would never guess that he grew up in blue jeans and coveralls on a large Central Alberta farm and ranch. Kirk credits a lot of his success to the things he learned on the farm: the value of a dollar, getting up early, and working hard.
After graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a Business Management degree, Major in Finance, he chose a career in real estate. His parents, having retired from farming, were realtors at the time.
The strong work ethic he learned early in life shows through in his real estate business today. Kirk takes a lot of pride in coaching and guiding clients through real estate transactions.
Kirk operates at a high level of commitment as a realtor. He was Rookie of the Year his first year in the business and his commitment to his clients remains top priority. Kirk is a preferred realtor because of his high standards in customer service and his willingness to learn more, do more, and be more.
Negotiating the real estate transactions, putting deals together, and getting the property sold are what Kirk enjoys most about being a realtor. He likes finding and creating that ‘win-win’ situation and helping you get what you want. This is what makes the job rewarding for Kirk.
As an energetic listing agent, Kirk focuses on being a leader and representing the seller using the latest technologies and marketing tools. He is ready to change and do so quickly to stay current in the real estate market, while still keeping with the tried-and-true of the past. Not only does Kirk update his technology and marketing methods, he keeps himself updated by attending high level coaching programs from the best real estate training company in the world, "The Mike Ferry Organization". He pushes to be ‘in the know’ regarding all things real estate, discussing new trends and concepts with real estate agents all across North America.
Kirk is a strong communicator, one of the most important skills of the trade. He is there to help clients understand the market conditions and how they can best achieve their goals. Kirk takes an innovative approach with his marketing strategies and online presentations. Working with remote buyers and managing their real estate needs for them is one thing the X-team specializes in.
Although online technology and current information is readily available, there is one lesson that Kirk has learned throughout his career and his life:
“There is no substitute for doing the work. You’ve got to get out there and talk to people…it’s meeting and talking to people…this is a people business.”
Kirk's even-keeled personality gives him stability in being a real estate agent. His down-to-earth attitude makes it easy for him to relate to people. He's focused and determined – minus the high-pressure.
On a personal note, Kirk has a wonderful family life with his wife Jaclyn and their two children, Austin and Lexi. They enjoy recreational sports of all kinds. Kirk volunteer coaches both hockey and baseball teams. He knows how to work hard and play hard!
